Ascribe to the Lord, you sons of God,[a]
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory of his name.
Bow down to the Lord in the splendor of holiness.
The voice of the Lord is heard over the waters.
The God of glory thunders.
The Lord thunders above the mighty waters.

  1. Psalm 29:1 In this verse the Hebrew word translated God is elim rather than the usual elohim. Elim could also be translated mighty ones or heavenly beings. It seems to refer to the angels.
